The RPG Event VII: Ill-Gotten Gains (ShadowDark)

THE RPG EVENT
We are pleased to announce the seventh RPG event of the Barcelona Roleplaying Community, where we'll have 5 tables with totally different and unique games. Everyone is welcome to join, from experts to first-time players; no experience is needed or knowledge about the system.
We will play in ENGLISH.
The cost of participation is 7 EURO, which you will pay at the entrance.

THE ADVENTURE: Ill-Gotten Gains
GAME MASTER: Jeff
SYSTEM: ShadowDark. This is a slimmed down old-school version of D&D, using a D20 system but with streamlined, easy and snappy rules. The game is dark, harsh and unforgiving, but heroics pay off. Treasure is the ultimate measure of success, but survival alone is the real victory.
DESCRIPTION: You slowly come back to consciousness thanks to the wicked splashes of water in your face and the taste of salt. You raise your head to gather yourself and spit a slimy strand of seaweed from your mouth. You suddenly begin to recall the nightmarish attack of a giant kraken on the ship that gave you passage – and the panic returns! You frantically grasp the floating plank of what may have been part of the hull that is now your life raft and you spot at least three or four other equally-shocked passengers of the vessel that is no more.
The unarmed ship had been hugging the coast to avoid conflict at sea. As you survey the land to find a point to paddle to, the tall rocky cliffs with crashing waves offer only one visible option: a cove with some small sandy beaches. Unfortunately, you recall that just before the kraken attack, you overheard a bard and some good clerics warning that this cove hides a temple devoted to Avarice, an evil god of Greed, and it has become a haven for rogues and sea bandits of mysterious origin that are now full devotees of the cult.
You hope that the kraken had its fill of sailors as you lament your failure to arrive at your destination in a port far away - which will no doubt have its consequences. But you realize that you may have an opportunity to redeem yourself on the rocky shores ahead. Or is this day just going to get even more deadly...
There’s no time to waste, so there will be pre-generated characters for you to choose from. However, you may create your own character in advance of the session, but stat rolls and hit point rolls will be at the table. Please bring the usual set of multi-sided dice and your pencil. PLACE: We will play at the ARCHIVO ARCANO. Please, wait next to the entrance where you will be welcomed and guided by one of the organizers.
DRINKS & FOOD: You can purchase drinks at the place, but you are NOT ALLOWED to bring them from outside. You CAN bring your own food. You even should do that ;). If you don't do that there will be an option to buy some snacks at the place or get a sandwich in the restaurant nearby.

IF YOU HAVEN'T JOINED THE GAME IN TIME
Put yourself on the waiting list. People often change their minds at the last minute, and many people can join afterward when everything is initially sold out. People that will be late 15 minutes to the event automatically release the slot and open it to the people that would come without a place at the table.
