Join us for another Tech Talk at Glovo HQ 🚀
We’re opening the doors of Yellow Park on Thursday, November 19th, for a Data Science Tech Meetup focused on Real-World Machine Learning at Scale. Together with our peers from Skyscanner, we will explore how we solve some of the most complex challenges in ML, from balancing conflicting business objectives to modernizing the end-to-end ML lifecycle using AI.
Here is what we have lined up for the night:
- GUAPO: Balancing Competing Interests Through ML Our very own Guilherme Baraúna and Yaroslav Marchuk (Data Scientists @ Glovo) will share how we tackle a massive internal challenge. Many teams at Glovo want to use the app's real estate to push for different objectives: loyalty targets subscriptions, growth aims at acquisition and retention, while ads push for immediate revenue. They will dive into how the GUAPO ML engine allows different stakeholders to compete for limited traffic using data-driven decisions, optimizing these tradeoffs in a unified way.
- Is AI Really Changing the ML Lifecycle? A Skyscanner Snapshot We’re thrilled to welcome Carles Riera (Data Scientist @ Skyscanner) as our external speaker! Carles will break down how Skyscanner's data science teams are currently using AI agents across the ML project lifecycle from ideation and scoping all the way to production and monitoring. He’ll cover the frameworks they use, real use cases in data analysis, model development, A/B testing, documentation, and also touch upon the areas where things haven’t actually changed that much yet.
🎤 AGENDA:
