BarcelonaJS February
Details
Hello everyone! Join us for February's meetup which will be held in Adevinta's office. As always, we will have two talks followed by a networking session.
From Hello, World to Dispute Management
by Tudor Barbu - @motanelu
Software architect @ Adevinta
In this talk I will try to answer one basic question: "what do you do when you don't know what to do?" together with some ancillary ones, like "what's the fanciest Hello, World application possible?" and, very important, "how do we convince management that we need to build it?"

How we migrated from Ember to React using a Trojan Horse
by Helios Aliaga Montesinos - @heliosam_
Head of Engineering @ Honeypot
Honeypot.io was launched in 2015. Initially, the frontend was written in Ember and that’s what took the company to the spot it is today. However, after joining the company it was obvious that Ember was no longer the right option for us that’s why we decided to migrate to a different framework: React. In this talk I will present to you why we took that decision, all the issues we found along the way, how we solved them (using a Trojan Horse!) and all the insights about what made this process a complete success.

After the talks, we'll have drinks and networking!
