The presentation will explore the scalability issues encountered and the strategic rationale behind adopting a microfrontend approach, emphasizing the significance of Single-SPA in this evolution.

The session will unfold TravelPerk's long-term aspirations for frontend development and delve into the core architecture of a microfrontend application enabled by Single-SPA. The Suitcase design system, a central component of this transition, ensures a unified user experience across different modules. The early proof-of-concept phase offered insights into key architectural decisions, particularly the mechanisms to facilitate asynchronous communication between microfrontends.

We'll present the preliminary findings and architectural considerations that steer this transition. This exploration will provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and solutions inherent in migrating from a monolithic structure to a microfrontend framework.
