Girona is one of most beautiful cities in the world :-) I've been planning to go up there to photograph the winter light for a while. I mentioned a possible trip up there next weekend to a few people during the photowalk. Having just researched it, I've decided the weekend of the 26th and 27th January will be much better. Why?

What You Will Learn:
Travel Photography; creating great photographs in new places. Specifically, we'll look at the importance of understanding light, tripod use, reflections and using different lenses. You'll learn how to look for the right composition in narrow streets. You'll learn the Four Keys Method for Excellent Photography. We'll also cover creative and accurate white balance control, and polariser use. You should be reasonably comfortable with photography.

To Bring:
A tripod if you have one. Likewise spare batteries and a polarising filter would be useful.
Good shoes, warm clothes - and an umbrella if it's raining. Pray for rain; better reflections.

When:
Saturday 26th January. Meeting by the clock (near the Media Distancia desk) in Estacion de Sants at 11.30am. We'll take the 11.46am Renfe MD train to Girona (https://venta.renfe.com/vol/buscarTren.do). The train is €10.50 single (ida), and there's a 20% discount if you buy a return (ida y vuelte) at the same time. Depending on the group, we may take a bus from Girona train station to Girona center.
The workshop will last until after dark as I'll be photographing all the time anyway; but happy if you'd like to wander off and meet up with the group later at set points. We'll discuss this on the day. I'll be staying in Girona for the night so you'll have to make it back to Barcelona with the others if you're not staying.
