Bards at Barnes and Noble

Award winning poet Kate Fox hosts this monthly reading occurring on the 1st Monday of every month. Join us at Barnes and Noble to hear our wonderful features, followed by an open mic. We start promptly at 7:00PM.

Sharon Anderson and Douglas B. Swezey will feature.

Sharon Anderson is published in many international and local anthologies, was nominated for a Pushcart prize, and has four publications of her own poetry with a fifth to be released soon. She serves on the advisory board of the Nassau County Poet Laureate Society, the advisory board for Bards Initiative, and is a PPA host at Oceanside Library.

Douglas G. Swezey received his BA in English and Art History from Stony Brook University, has written as a journalist for many weekly newspapers, was Managing Editor of Government Food Services Magazine and author of Stony Brook University: Off The Record. He serves on the Board of Directors for the LIPC.
