Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for landing here — whether you're barefoot already or just curious about the idea, you're in the right place.
We’re Bare With Us – London’s barefoot walking group, and yes, the pun is totally intended. We're here to slow things down, take off the pressure — and our shoes — and reconnect with the ground beneath us, together.
This all began really simply: I like to walk barefoot. Not all the time — just when it feels right. Sometimes it’s in the park, sometimes it’s just down the street, sometimes it’s a spontaneous moment when I kick off my shoes and feel the ground. And every time I do, I feel lighter, calmer… more present.
There’s something about it — that direct connection with the earth — that reminds me to slow down, breathe, and be in the moment. And I realized I couldn’t be the only one who feels that way!
That’s where the idea for this group came from: to create a space where we can walk barefoot together — no pressure, no performance, just a little escape from the busy world.
So kick off your shoes, let your feet do the talking, and bare with us as we explore London from the ground up.

I’d love for you to join our barefoot hike on Saturday 27th September!
We’ll meet at Box Hill & Westhumble Station at 10:40am and head up together to the trails of Box Hill — one of the most iconic walking spots in Surrey.

- A hike along scenic trails (around 3 hours)
- Optional rest stop or café afterwards to share a coffee or snack
👣 Who is it for?
- Nature lovers and adventure seekers
- Anyone curious about barefoot hiking. If you’ve never hiked barefoot before, that’s absolutely fine. There’s no right or wrong way to do this. Just bring curiosity, comfort, and a sense of adventure.
- Come solo or with friends — you’ll feel part of the group either way
- Not ready to go fully barefoot? Bring sandals or barefoot shoes to ease in!
🧺 What to bring:
- Water, maybe a snack or fruit
- Weather-appropriate clothing (layers are great!)
💷 Symbolic contribution
- To help keep the group committed and avoid last-minute no-shows, we ask for a small contribution of £5.
- This isn’t about making money — it’s simply a way to honour your spot and the shared experience. Think of it as a little nudge towards showing up for yourself and the group.
