This is the first initiative to have regular Barishal based WordPress Meetup. It's an idea to create a regular WordPress Meetup in Barishal. There are many different WordPress users in Bangladesh (Most of the Dhaka based) and it's time to connect and share ideas and knowledge and build a local WordPress community.

As we believe that Barishal should have a solid WordPress Community.
This meetup is all about WordPress, from beginning blogger through to hardcore coder. If you need a WordPress user group or need to find a WordPress web designer in Barishal, this group is for you.
Learn & discuss everything to do with WordPress, including plugin and theme selection, development, design, marketing, blogging, SEO, business, management, security, and more. We couldn't create a comprehensive list of the topics that we cover, as we try to expand with each Meetup and answer the questions posted by our attendees.

We’re a group of local WordPress developers, designers, and publishers who get together to share our knowledge and experience and to meet other WordPress users in the area. Are you interested in teaching or doing a talk? We are always looking for speakers willing to do a talk on a subject matter relevant to WordPress, running a small business or working with clients. This WordPress Meetup is open to all who love WordPress — join us!

We follow the "Five Good Faith Rules":

• WordPress Meetups are for the benefit of the WordPress community as a whole, not specific businesses or individuals. All actions taken as an event organizer are with the best interest of the community in mind.
• Membership in the local meetup group is open to all who wish to join, regardless of ability, skill, financial status or any other criteria.

• Meetups are volunteer-run with volunteer speakers. In cases where a modest attendance fee might be necessary, this fee should only cover the costs of the meetup and shouldn’t be used to pay speakers or organizers.

• Meetup groups allow events to be organized by any reliable/trusted member of the community.

• Meetups are welcoming places where everyone works to foster an accepting environment which is free of discrimination, incitement to violence, promotion of hate, and general jerk-like behavior.

Name Changes Update:
Due to the City name change in Bangladesh by the Government of the People Republic of Bangladesh, we have changed our group name from Barisal WordPress Meetup to Barishal WordPress Meetup.
