What we’re about

Bringing the community together through visual art and inclusion.

Barkingside Art Club (BAC) is a fantastic organisation which provides the local schools and community with a plethora of diverse, enriching projects. Our sole mantra is;

"Creativity is the power to connect the seemingly unconnected"

Our slogan which is clearly evident through the consistent projects we undertake.

 BAC is a relatively new collective which first formed in the Summer of 2017. The team itself embraces a vast range of practising freelance artists, with differing skills and art history knowledge. BAC aims to provide a platform to realize and visually express, via an array of mediums.

The services we offer the compromise of various workshops for both children and adults from all backgrounds and abilities; to print-making, portraiture, and painting amongst many others. Right through to larger, more pronounced ventures such as The Big Draw and Lumiere London Festival, we are currently working with the Redbridge Culture Team, and have many more exciting events pending such as Paint in the Park at Fairlop Fair.

Our key aim is to create countless exciting and lively events suitable for all types of individuals!

Another key belief in BAC’s manifesto is;

"Our artistic approach to teaching and learning is focussed on using art for a good cause",

This can constantly be seen through our involvement with SEN (special needs) children. The utilisation of 'art' as a therapy is an unchanging ideology applied throughout BAC; any individual from any walk of life can appreciate the many aesthetics found in art as a subject.
  Overall the projects, our avant-garde enterprise undertakes is immensely beneficial and necessary to the community and schools. As it aids the creative minds of all diversities and ages, to understand the expression within the art. As well as the image surrounding the infinite possibilities within the 'art' genre.
