BärnerJS Talks #25-1

Details
-------------------
Stef Käser & Philipp Gfeller, Software Devs at SwissPost
(Frontend) Security at SwissPost from a developer's viewpoint
We will give you an insight about our security culture, covering failure management, the role of a SecurityChampion, our tooling, the impact of or bug bounty program, the ongoing efforts of our SecOps team and share with you two Frontend stories where it (almost) went wrong.

The Eventloop in JavaScript - How does it work?
One of the most important building blocks in any JavaScript runtime is the eventloop which enables developers to write performant code, even single-threaded. But many developers do not look into how it works because it looks really complicated and hard to understand. In this talk we will discover how the eventloop works, how one can use it to ones advantage and how it works with Promises, Timer-Events and Web-Apis. All easily understandable and done in Live-Coding.
Christian Wörz is a freelance fullstack developer and Microsoft MVP writing code in languages like Java, Kotlin, Typescript and Javascript. He's been working as a software engineer since over a decade. He loves learning from others and sharing his knowledge.
