Introduction to Electroforming

Electroforming is the process where metal is "grown" onto a object. The object is then prepared with conductive paint and lowered into a bath of dissolved copper. The process will then cover the object in the copper. We will go over the equipment needed and learn how to make a system for home use

Whether you are interested in making your own set or just want to try it out and make a piece, this is the class for you. Bring something insoluble that you would like to adorn in copper metal.

Please don't hesitate to contact the instructor if you have questions about what type of items would be suitable to plate.

You will need to provide your own object for Electroforming, but all other materials will be provided.
