Two ridges / two castles hike from Gilgenberg to Thierstein

Details
As the spring weather slowly grinds its way into summer, we'll take advantage of a clear midday Sunday to start and end a hike at two iconic and good-condition castles joined by the Lingenberg and Salenberg ridges.
We'll depart from the meeting point (between the green ticket machines by the tram bays in front of SBB) at 10:55am sharp and catch the 11:03 train from platform 14 (direction Biel) and change at Laufen to the 11:24 Bus 111 (Direction Nunningen) for a 15 min ride to Zullwill Dorf.
From there we'll hike directly up to castle Gilgenberg, then a short section along the Ibach, and turn west to hike atop the Salenberg ridge. After hiking north through an open valley, we'll climb up to the larger Lingenberg ridge and hike the entire length, where castle Neu Thierstein will be waiting at the end. From there we hike north to Büsserach, where we'll have drinks at Restaurant Traube.
Busses leave from Büsserach Schulhaus twice an hour at :10 and :42 towards Zwingen.
As always, bring layers, sunscreen and good footwear. Ridges are always a little technical, so some dexterity is needed to move around the rocks, and sticks might be helpful. See you Sunday!
