What we do We host relaxed meetups where locals and newcomers connect over shared food. Food Circle © is part of Basel Circle ©.
This event On Thursday, 29 October 2026, up to 20 of us have dinner together on a rooftop terrace in Basel, kindly offered by someone from Basel Circle ©. Everyone brings one homemade vegetarian dish, and we put all dishes on one table and share them. Tell us the story behind your dish if you like. Maybe it is a family recipe, a taste of home or something you discovered while travelling. Nobody has to share anything personal. We finish at 22:00 at the latest.
We meet at 18:25 sharp right at the ping pong tables in Kannenfeldpark (https://maps.app.goo.gl/fTdyAdXiuYzs7kvF6) and walk up through the cooperative building to the terrace together. To protect everyone's privacy, we do not publish the exact address. Please be on time, as we cannot wait once the group has gone inside.
What to bring
- One vegetarian dish to share
- A small note with the ingredients, so people with allergies can enjoy dinner safely
- Your own plate, bowl, cutlery and cup
- The story behind your dish, if you like
Good to know
- There is only a simple hot plate, so please bring food that needs no reheating.
- The contribution is CHF 6. It supports the non-profit Basel Circle © with running costs and helps us plan well, since space is limited.
