Basel Entrepreneurship isn’t just another meetup.
It’s a space for founders, builders, and aspiring entrepreneurs to connect, have honest conversations, and grow bold ideas into real ventures.
What makes it different? Our sessions are intentionally moderated to spark meaningful exchange — not just casual networking or one-way talks. The format invites everyone in, encourages shared learning, and helps surface insights you won’t get alone. (We use tools like Liberating Structures to support this.)
Whether you're starting from scratch, scaling up, or still figuring out your path, you’ll find a supportive group of people who get the journey — and want to navigate it together.

We’re very happy to welcome Alexandre Jousset as our guest in January. Alexandre is the founder of Genedance, a startup that helps scientists work more easily with DNA data.
In many labs today, DNA research involves lots of separate tools, complex processes, and manual handovers. Genedance brings all of this together into one simple digital platform, making it easier for teams to plan experiments, analyze results, and share insights — without needing deep technical expertise in every step.
Alexandre will share his experience building Genedance and his perspective on how technology can simplify complex work, improve collaboration, and help people focus on what really matters.
What is the Hot Seat?
Our goal is to learn from each other, and we believe that we can learn most from challenges others have overcome and "failures" that they themselves learned from.
We run the hot seat in two steps: Firstly, the guest Entrepreneurs will give us a short intro into their startup and share some of their learnings/fails. Secondly, we will go into an open discussion with the group to ask questions and challenge the Entrepreneurs ideas.
What is the Entrepreneur Exchange?
By using elements from liberatingstructures.com we facilitate active exchanges between our participants. Everybody should have both the opportunity to learn from other Entrepreneurs and to share their knowledge with others.
