Déjà vue.js?

Details

Heard about Vue.js (https://vuejs.org/) yet? It's the latest component-based front end framework getting serious traction. Why? Easier to get started and suitable for smaller projects.

Thanks to Michael Hunziker for proposing the topic! Here's what he has in store for us:

Learn from the best and make it better… or at least some parts. That’s how vue.js could be described. I’m trying to give you an introduction into that lightweight, adoptable framework. How does it compare to its giant opponents Angular and React? What’s the learning curve? What about server interaction, routing, data binding, integrating UI components, form validation and i18n/l10n? How does vue.js perform? Is there reasonable documentation available? What projects/companies are relying on it?… I’ll give my best to provide some answers :-)

A few words about Michael:

I’ve been a consultant in JavaScript and Java development since getting my B. Sc. Computer Science 2008 in Basel. The past 4 years I’ve mostly been working on customer projects with AngularJS frontends and Java or Node.js backends. Besides working for youEngineering AG in Liestal, I like sports, cooking and reading ;-)
