Feminist Walk and Concert

Frauenstreik is back!

In Switzerland, Women’s Day is celebrated on June 14th, and we would love to spend the evening meeting and connecting with fellow feminists in Basel – and enjoying a cultural moment together!

We’ll meet at 6:00 PM at Mittlere Brücke (Grossbasel side). If you want to walk the whole route with the demonstration, great! If not, just join us whenever you arrive.

Together, we’ll walk with the protest towards Theater Basel. At 7:15 PM, we’ll take Tram 10 to Klavieratelier Mignon (a 10-minute ride), where food and drinks will be awaiting for us! There will be time to talk calmly about feminism and life :)

Later, at 8:30 PM, you’re warmly invited to stay for a concert at the Atelier dedicated to the forgotten 19th century female composer Emilie Mayer, performed by the FANNY DAVIES Ensemble. In the concert, we will sing together Ethel Smyth's Women March.

You may join us for all the evening or just for some parts of it.

The walk and event are open to women, non-binary people, and men – all feminist allies are welcome!
