Walk & Talk along the Wiese and Explore the Rötteln Castle Ruins

Let’s meet for walking and chatting while going along the beautiful river Wiese through the Lange Erlen nature park until we reach Lörrach (DE). Then we will continue to Ruins of Rötteln Castle (German: Burg Rötteln), located above the Lörrach suburb of Haagen.
The ruins of the castle are situated on a widely visible forested hill 422 metres (1,385 ft) above sea level. The keep lies on a spur projecting from the steep-sided east side of the lower Wiese valley.

We will first gather at Stücki in front of the main entrance and it will take us about 2,5 hours to reach Lörrach and about half an hour to reach then the castle ruins.
We will be crossing the international border so please bring your IDs.
We can go back together to Basel either by a direct train to Basel SBB or via tram 6.
