Hike Hemmiken - Sissach
Details
First hike of the year. Weather should be nice. But cold. Lets meet at Basel SBB at 09:43, take the IR 37 to Gelterkinden from Track 11, then the Bus 101 at 10:10 to Hemmiken, Junkerschloss, where we arrive at 10:21.
From there we hike north to Junkerschloss and have a break at Farnsburg. If we are lucky, we will see the Alps from there. We will continue through Buuseregg (where you could take a bus back) towards the Hühnersädel, the hardest part of the tour, consisting of 445 (?) stairs up. Great way to start the New Year.
Then its mostly flat to the Sissacher Flue where we will have our second break. We also visit the Ruin Bischofstein and from there decend to Sissach, from where we take the train home.
About 5.25 hours walking with two breaks and two shorter breaks. There is not enough time to stay in one of the two restaurants on the way.
