Easy winter hike around scenic Kandersteg + Lunch by fireplace

Let’s get some sunshine while doing an easy winter hike with nice views of the nearby mountains and winter landscape. Afterwards we will have lunch at a cosy hotel with a fireplace. The weather forecast looks great: between 1°C and 5°C, sunshine, no rain.

Itinerary

• 8:15 Meeting point in front of the Sprüngli store inside Basel SBB (Enter through the main entrance, turn right, pass Migros to your left: The Sprüngli store entrance is on your right)
• We will then head to the train together
• 8:30 IC6 from Basel SBB to Spiez; Change to 10:12 RE1 to Kandersteg, arriving at 10:40
• 2-hour loop hike from/to Kandersteg village with views of the mountains
• 12:40: Lunch at Doldenhorn Ruedihus Bistro with fireplace
• 15:14 return journey; Arrival Basel SBB at 17:29
