Good morning, fellow skiers!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.
The weather couldn’t be better for skiing today and tomorrow. I hope some of you managed to get out on the slopes!
I’m organising our first ski meet-up: Lenzerheide – Arosa on Sunday the 4th (Sunday was chosen as the weather looks slightly better than Saturday).
Meeting point: 08:20 at the entrance to the gondola from the Rothorn car park in Lenzerheide. First ride is red, from the top. If this is too early, we can meet up later elsewhere, but I expect to be quite busy as it is Sunday.
A 1-day ski pass is CHF 77.00 (if purchased soon).
The plan is to head up, do a couple of runs, and cross over to Arosa in the morning. The forecast is cold (-9°C to -11°C) with 5 hours of sun. Snow conditions are expected to be hard, with around 45 cm in Arosa.
The day planning is depending on the group. I would bring snacks so that we can stop for lunch and a beer or coffee around 12:30 in a restaurant, but if you want to bring your own food and just have a drink is also ok.
Let me know if you’d like to join. I’ll be driving from Bassersdorf, leaving at 06:30, with a quick coffee stop along the way. If you need a lift, I can pick you up en-route.
I guess we will have a lot of traffic on the way back home.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Looking forward to skiing and have fun together!
