BathML is back!

I'm William, your new organiser for Bath Machine Learning Meetup! The AI world is booming with exciting papers and products, and there hasn't been a BathML event since the start of covid lockdowns, so now's the time to revive this community and get talking about all the latest developments, here in Bath!

Event plan:

• 'doors open' at 18:30
• presentation / talk from 18:45-19:15
• discussion / q&a from 19:15-19:45
• networking afterwards, we can stay at the bar until 21:00

You don't need to prepare or bring anything except a curious mind!
This event is open to everybody, and all are welcome regardless of knowledge or understanding.

I will give a presentation on GPT models, briefly explaining what they are and how they work, before looking at which jobs are most at risk. I'll describe the recent OpenAI paper 'GPTs are GPTs' and its analysis of the job market. Then I'll answer any questions, and I hope we can get a discussion going! There will be time for everyone to hang out and chat before and after the event.

Note: there will also be some admin related to the return of BathML at the start, just for a few minutes!

To find the venue: enter Walcot House on Walcot Street, go through the restaurant until you reach the stairs, go downstairs, and turn left. You'll enter Bread & Jam, which is the name for the bar underneath the restaurant. There you'll see BathML!
