Why R? 2020 Pre-meeting Bauchi

Why R? pre-meetings are R meetups that support local R groups. They promote Why R? 2020 Conference.

OUR SPEAKER: Her name is Shelmith Kariuki. Shel is a Senior Data Analyst based in Nairobi, Kenya. She is an RStudio Certified Tidyverse trainer, and recently worked as a Research Manager at Geopoll, and as a Data Analyst at Busara Center for Behavioral Economics. She had previously worked as an assistant lecturer in various Kenyan universities, teaching units in Statistics and Actuarial Science. She has a Bsc in Actuarial Science and Msc in Applied Statistics from JKUAT. She has extensive experience in data analysis using R and Python. She co-organizes a community of R users in Nairobi #NairobiR and in Africa #AfricaR.
In her own words: "One of the missions of my community work is to make sure that we have an increased number of R adopters, in Africa. I am very passionate about training and using data analytics to drive development projects in Africa."
