First come, first serve. You'll need to pay me for your ticket through Venmo to attend. We will meet outside the Improv at 6:30 pm sharp! The show starts at 7 pm.

#### Does the two-item minimum mean I have to buy two alcoholic beverages?

No. Any food item or beverage (with or without alcohol) counts toward the two-item minimum. We offer a variety of non-alcoholic beverages and encourage our guests to please drink responsibly.

#### Which credit cards are accepted?

We accept all major credit cards through our box office and in our showroom, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

#### Is there an age requirement for entry?

Unless otherwise specified, you must be at least 21 years of age to enter and consume alcohol. You will need to show valid photo identification to enter our club. Accepted forms of identification include:

-State issued Driver’s License
-State issued ID
-Passport
-Military ID
-U.S. Permanent Resident Card

#### What happens if I show up late?

Guests are allowed into our showroom up until 15 minutes after the show begins. We stop seating 15 minutes into the show due to the disruption caused to the performers. No exceptions, no refunds.

#### Is parking available?

There is both street parking and several parking lots located in the vicinity. Please note that the San Jose Improv does not validate any parking.

Janelle James stars in the scene-stealing role of ‘Ava Coleman’ in the Emmy-nominated ABC comedy series, ABBOTT ELEMENTARY. Both an audience favorite and critical darling, Janelle continues to receive accolades for her performance, including 3 consecutive Emmy nominations for “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series”, as well as nominations for Golden Globe, Independent Spirit, Critic’s Choice, and Gotham Awards. James also earned the 2023 NAACP Image Award for “Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series” and a nomination for the Television Critics Association Award for “Individual Achievement in Comedy”. Season 4 of ABBOTT ELEMENTARY will premiere on October 9th, 2024.

Janelle’s latest stand-up special is featured in Season 3 of Netflix’s THE STAND UPS. Previously, Janelle served as both a writer and actor for Showtime’s BLACK MONDAY, and Apple’s animated series, CENTRAL PARK. Janelle has toured with Chris Rock, Amy Schumer and David Cross among others. In 2016, she was a "New Face" at the Just For Laughs Festival Montreal and named one of The 50 Most Funny People in Brooklyn. In 2020, she was featured as one of Variety's Top Ten Comedians to Watch. Her debut comedy album, Black and Mild, was released on all major streaming networks in 2017 to rave reviews.
