California Coastal Cleanup Day - multiple locations, pick your site from link

Details

If you've wanted to make your local beaches/rivers/waterways cleaner and been frustrated with the slow cleanup, here's your chance! This Saturday is the annual coastal (and inland) cleanup day. Keep in mind that there are over 500 cleanup sites in California (possibly close to 700 according to SMDP), with close to 300 in/around the bay area.... so you need to pick which site you want to go to from https://www.coastal.ca.gov/publiced/ccd/ccd.html#map

This year, there will be prizes hidden at cleanup sites, including a $1,000 cash prize, an e-bike, a canyon rafting trip, and the opportunity to throw the first pitch at an A’s game. (source)

To sign up, you need to pick a site by clicking on the blue pin, then follow the directions to sign up. Different sites have different requirements, so pay attention! For example, some places like Alma Street use their county page, some places like Guadalupe River - San Jose use Eventbrite, some places like Ocean Beach use Mobilize, and some places allow you to just show up and help out. Here are some additional tips: https://www.coastal.ca.gov/publiced/ccd/ccd.html#participate

Since there are so many different locations, consider this an informational post. Feel free to use the comments section to coordinate on a specific location though!
