Volunteering Social -- Winter Pruning with Municipal Rose Garden, San Jose

If you haven't decided your weekend schedule yet, welcome to join us doing volunteering social winter pruning at the Municipal Rose Garden of San Jose, this Sat. Jan 10th.

The Municipal Rose Garden is a landmark. It is listed in the world rose garden hall of fame. It was voted the best rose garden of America in 2010, for beauty, creativity, and community involvement. It sits on over 5 aces of land, occupying a city block by itself. Every Jan there would be a community volunteering day, on the 19th so far, attended by 500 ~ 900 volunteers each year. And we are going this year, doing pruning for the coming blossom this spring.

This year's registration opened kind of late, only at last night. You can register here to reserve a ticket to the event. Yes, you have to register with SJ Parks & Recreation to secure your spot.

As usual, we think working side by side at a community volunteering event, in such a beautiful setting, is a great way to bond and get connected. Hence our volunteering social. And we would find a place nearby to do group lunch/picnic after the volunteering, as we usually do. So come to do some work out, enjoy the view, and meet people and make some new friends with the hundreds of fellow volunteers.

This is our first volunteering social event of after new year, and we do have plan for a new series of outdoor camping volunteering this year, with different organizations. Welcome to check out.
