May flower moon (full moon) hike @ Alviso

The full flower moon is at 10:23 am Friday, but it'll be hard to meet at that time.... so let's meet Friday night at Alviso. Sunset is at 7:57 pm and moonrise is at 8:27 pm, so we'll be finishing our walk around the sun sets and the moon rises. We also have 2 full moons this month, so we can do a full moon hike twice this month!

Last time we did a full moon event it was rainy (and got dark early) so we didn't get a good walk in, and last time we were in Alviso the Alviso Slough Trail was closed. The weather should be nice this time around and the trail is now open, so let's start the month of May with a nice, mild hike.

This will be a nice change from the typical Mission Peak full moon hikes we've done and much more approachable, as this is very flat and definitely not as strenuous.

There's plenty of street parking around the area, so you can park there. There is also a parking lot, but it might close around sunset so be careful if you park there. I'll wait get there a bit early and wait by the entrance gate.
