About us
Welcome to the San Francisco Bay Area Aromantic Meetup Group! This group is for individuals who identify as aromantic and are interested in meeting like-minded people in the Bay Area.
Come and make friends with others who get it, discuss aromantic experiences or just hangout. Reddit has been a great support for us, and IRL is even better.
Join us for social meetups, events, and online discussions at our Discord server centered around building community for folks on the aromantic spectrum in the Bay Area. You can for conversation (If you have never used Discord, it is a bit annoying to setup, and works well once you have it.) Friends of aromantics are welcome.
Let's have some fun, find support and celebrate our aromantic lives.

Note: Any fundraising requests you see in our group are directed towards paying for events like Pride Parades and meetup.com subscription fees. Never feel obligated to give to participate: most of all we want your energy and presence. If you do choose to give, do not give beyond what is comfortable for you and your budget.

Falafel Boy + Lake Merritt Hangout
Falafel Boy (Restaurant), 1924 Franklin St, Oakland, CA, USEast Bay Hangout! We will grab lunch around 11:30am at Falafel Boy (https://maps.app.goo.gl/uiUTmHzhY3gRDpVWA). No worries if people need to come later (please just update us so we don't start walking around Lake Merritt without you if you want to join!).
If you are using public transit, come by 19th Street Bart. If you are driving, you can probably find free parking along Harrison St.
(If enough people want to eat elsewhere, we can instead regroup and picnic together at Snow Park but the current plan is Falafel Boy!)
After we eat, if people want to walk around Lake Merritt (full loop is fairly flat and 3ish miles) or visit the Gardens on the lake, we can do that!
Come for food, nature, and conversation!
