As the head of the Single-cell Analysis Innovation Lab (SAIL) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), Dr. Ronan Chaligné is committed to empowering the research community through the implementation and development of cutting-edge single-cell methods.
During his PhD at the Institut Gustave Roussy in Paris, France, he sought to decipher how a normal cell can transform into cancer by a series of genetic events. His doctoral work taught him that epigenetic transformation is key to initiating and propagating malignancies.
As the Director of SAIL, he aims to dissect genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of cancer with single-cell approaches.
