• I run this girls-only group for fun, social desi (Indian) girls in the Bay Area to celebrate festivals, try out restaurants, and participate in other fun social activities around the Bay Area. If this matches your interests, send a request to join this group.

• My intent behind starting this group is to have a fun space for Indian girls. We each take personal time away from our own life and stresses, in order to participate in the group's events and have a good time; please respect everyone's time, energy and space, and keep the group fun & drama-free.

• Prior to each event, I send out a message to confirm your attendance for the event. Please take a moment to respond to that message; it helps me plan appropriately for the event and also ensure that attendees to an event are not waiting for someone who isn't going to show. Failure to respond to this confirmation message by the evening of the day prior to a dinner event can result in you losing your spot.

• A spot on the waitlist of a dinner event is not a confirmed spot for that event. If you are on the waitlist, please check back on the event page to see if a spot has opened up and if you have been moved to the guest list. The number of attendees to dinner events are limited so that reservations are manageable. Please ensure you are on the guest list when attending a dinner event as a table reservation will only be booked for the number of people on the guest list (not waitlist).

• If the event is ticketed, please purchase your tickets on the provided link and then return to the event page in this group and RSVP so I know who to expect.

• Once you attend a meetup in this group, I will add you to Bay Area Desi Girls Intro WhatsApp group. Please keep the chats respectful, drama-free and free of cross-posts from other organizers and groups.

• Lack of participation, last-minute RSVP cancelations and no-shows make it challenging to run a group that honors everyone's time and effort. Please note - being inactive in the group, multiple last-minute RSVP cancelations, two no-shows and any behavior that disrupts the group ethos can result in removal from the MeetUp and WhatsApp groups.

• Have a profile picture in which your face is visible, and not an AI generated picture, not a blurred picture, not a picture of the back of your head, not a group picture, not a picture of a scenery, and not an illustration or a digital avatar.
