First Backpacking Trip of the Year - Henry Coe - 8 miles

Join us for the first backpacking trip of 2024. Henry Coe State Park is a wonderful State Park just on the outskirts of the Bay Area, where one hundred year old oak trees stand sentinel over sun-drenched meadows. We will meet at the main Headquarters of the park (Coe Ranch Headquarters) at 10:00am and then hike 8 miles to Lost Springs campground. The campground only has room for a single group (8 people max) and is only available on a first come first serve basis when you register at park headquarters on the day of the trip, but in the unlikely chance that we don't get that spot, there are many alternatives. There are no bathrooms at the campground and running water is from a natural spring.
