Park at Five Brooks Staging Area, then hike a tad over six miles to Wildcat campground. There is no water at the campground.
Only four people and two cars allowed.

Try this 12.7-mile out-and-back trail near Olema, California. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 6 h 1 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, camping, and hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.

Alamere falls in near by, so once we set up camp, hiking to the falls would be a possibility for those that are interested.
CAMPING AND PARKING PERMITS: You do NOT need to check in at the Bear Valley Visitor Center. Your email confirmation with order/reservation number is your permit. Print out your email confirmation and make a copy for the dashboard of each vehicle being left overnight in the trail head parking lot. Show Rangers your email confirmation in the field when asked.
