Studio Lighting For Portraits

When it comes to shooting techniques, the defining feature of a great portrait is great lighting.

During this 4 hour workshop, you'll learn how to capture portraits using the basic equipment you'll find in today's photo studio with this easy, introductory workshop ending with a test shoot with a professional model. Learn the common lighting modifiers, flash units and lighting stands that you'll come across in a photo studio.

I will be sharing numerous single-light setups for portraits. This workshop will allow you to create the right lighting for your next photo shoot without breaking the bank. All while getting a firm understanding of the different types of studio lighting: key light, fill light, hair light (kicker) and background light & more.

After a 30 min presentation, we will spend the remaining time capturing photos of a professional model using the different types of lighting setups we discussed.
