MAIN PRESENTATION - Web UI and JavaScript with Claris FileMaker, featuring bzBond

The Claris FileMaker platform can leverage modern web technologies to integrate new UI elements and JavaScript-based functionality. Several built-in and third party tools use web viewers to enable powerful, flexible web integrations. As our methods have evolved, we’re able to consider using new technologies for microservices and web components in building FileMaker solutions.

bzBond is a new open source toolset for web integrations using FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server, as well as Claris Pro and Claris Server.

bzBond features include:

This presentation will cover how, when and why to use bzBond, with development examples and pointers to more resources. It will also mention a few other solutions building on Claris Platform web viewer technology. Q&A and general discussion around FileMaker web integrations will be encouraged.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Alec Gregory, Beezwax

Alec Gregory is a Senior Engineering Manager at Beezwax, managing interdisciplinary development teams and architecting new tools to support successful project delivery. He has been a Claris FileMaker developer for 15 years and has a solid record of integrating FileMaker systems with other platforms, data formats and technologies. He has a particular interest in core web technologies, building an understanding of front-end web development which effectively complements and extends his FileMaker work.
