House Concert with Tom Rhodes and Jake Phillips

I am excited to announce my first house concert featuring two fabulous singer/songwriters, Tom Rhodes, an Oakland-based singer/songwriter and Jake Phillips. I first heard Tom and Jake perform at a friend's house concert and fell in love with their Americana/alt-country songs, distinctively raspy vocals & compelling melodies.

The concert will be in my backyard in the Lucas Valley area of San Rafael on Sunday, August 24 from 3 - 6 PM. Tom and Jake have a wonderful ability to connect with their audience. Tom has said that the intimacy of house concerts "feeds his soul."

Featured on The Voice, Tom has original music that was honored by the Songwriter Hall of Fame in 2015, and has over 150 uses of his original songs in films, TV shows, and national ad campaigns. He possesses a range of vocal stylings that cross over every genre from folk to jazz, pop to hip-hop, rock and country, and everything in between. Since signups online can be a bit unpredictable, and also to protect my privacy and security online, I am collecting the cover charge of $25 per person in advance. All proceeds will go directly to the artists. I will contact those who RSVP with details regarding payment, location, etc.

Some beverages and nibbles will be provided. Bringing something to share is also welcome.
