Details

Hello All,
For June we will meet on Thursday June 26th to discuss The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Brontë. This is a novel of a women taking control of her life to protect both herself and her son from an abusive husband. This novel and the subject matter were considered shocking at the time. The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is considered, by many, as the first truly feminist novel.
Looking forward, for July we will meet on Tuesday, July 15 and will be reading Kelly's recommendation, A Truth Universally Acknowledged: 33 Great Writers on Why We Read Jane Austen, by Susan Carson. In August we will meet on Thursday, August 21st and we will discuss Persuasion, by Jane Austen. Jaspereet will be recommending books for us to chose for September.
Looking forward to seeing you all in June!
