### Our Speaker: Marcella Silva

When we think of investing, most people think about the risks and how easy it seems one can lose everything. Marcella Silva turns that type of thinking on its head. A software engineer by training who worked at Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Marcella bought her first land banking investment in 2008 using the funds from her 401(k) via a self-
directed IRA.

As her land’s value rapidly grew, Marcella saw that her financial goals were within reach. She retired from her software engineering career to pursue her passion as a Certified Land Banking Expert with Velur Real Estate Services, Inc. to support others in creating wealth with the original investment on Earth. She has helped hundreds of families and individuals diversify with Land Banking and now manages a team of Land Banking consultants. She has personally amassed over 4 million square feet of land in her own portfolio.

Through her extensive knowledge and expertise, she and her team help individuals understand how land in targeted high-growth areas of California can help people achieve their financial goals.
Marcella enjoys educating investors on the power of investing in land and the economics, trends, and technologies behind the growth in California. Her intention is that when you leave a meeting with her, you’ll have hope for a better financial future and will never look at dirt the same way again!
