Join us for a virtual tour of Needles Studio, which recently reopened in its new location in Los Altos, followed by a discussion of foreign sewing patterns! Erika, the owner of Needles Studio, will show us her lovely new space, and talk about the classes she offers as well as fabrics, patterns, and printing services. After the tour, Erika will show some of the foreign indie pattern lines she carries (The Assembly Line (Sweden), Deer and Doe (France), Merchant & Mills (UK), Megan Nielson (Australia), Papercut Patterns (New Nealand), and tmore. Then we can discuss some of those patterns as well as others, such as sewing patterns in magazines (Burda, Fibre Mood, Ottobre) and Japanese sewing books. Learn about other pattern companies and share your experiences sewing their patterns, if you've made anything from a pattern outside the United States.
