Are you having fitting issues with a garment you're working on? You know something is off (shoulder, bust, neckline, etc.), but you're not sure how to fix it or would like to learn how to adjust your pattern. Jennifer Serr, owner of The Sewing Room in Alameda, will be sharing her fitting tips with Bay Area Sewists! Come to this sewing meetup to hear her fitting expertise.

If you'd like her advice, fill out this form by Friday, Nov. 13 and list the garment, pattern, and fit issue(s), and we'll pick six Bay Area Sewist members whose garments will be discussed at this meetup. We are asking people to fill out this form so we'll have a variety of fitting issues, which will be helpful to attendees. You will be notified by Nov. 18 if you are selected. Then you can bring your garment and pattern to the meetup. There is a restroom outside the meeting room so you can change into your garment. If we have time, one or two more people may also receive Jennifer's fitting advice.

Jennifer formerly worked as a technical designer for Gap, Banana Republic, and other brands as well as her own couture bridal business before opening The Sewing Room in Alameda, where she offers sewing instruction, fashion studies, sewing camps, and private lessons.
