Tilden Park Hike - 199 Loop Rd, Berkeley, CA

Della will again be leading this short 3-3.5 mile hike in beautiful Tilden Park. It's an especially wonderful time of year with wildflowers galore.

Please bring snacks and water, a hat and/or sunscreen. Clothing layers. Trekking poles if you have them as there is a bit of a climb up and then back down, though it is not a particularly difficult route. Expect beautiful views, aforementioned flowers, birds, perhaps even a snake if you're lucky! Expect a medium pace as there will be some bird watching (binoculars!!) and convivial company.

199 Loop Rd, Berkeley, CA
The route will start at the end of Loop Road. Drive from the paved road onto the unpaved road, following it around the bend to the left and up a slight incline, then over two speed bumps to the end, where the gate blocks the road, and park there on the left. Please see map.

The hiking route goes upward on the Laurel Canyon Trail and will loop down on another trail.
