Code, Coffee, and Quarantine (Virtual edition)

This is a virtual weekly gathering to chat and learn from each other while social distancing. Our goal is to provide a place where we can network, get help with our projects, and learn from each other.

This week Tanisha Bhayani will teach us about convolutional neural networks!

We'll meet and chat for the first half of the meeting and then we'll move into the talk/question and answer part of the session.

Title: Deep Convolutional Neural Networks and future
Abstract:

Convolutional Neural Networks, works on paradigm of sharing of weights in AI thereby creating kernels that filter information from the data. This simple idea along with open-source frameworks lead to many astounding work in DL community, along with implications in many business products that we use daily. We will understand CNNs as the basic level and try to brainstorm what holds for this architectural model in the future given new models and methods to train neural networks.
