Scenic Lagoon Paddle & Lunch in Foster City

Explore Foster City’s crown jewel—the stunning Lagoon! Glide through navigable canals weaving around resort-like man-made islands (avg. 6’ deep). With panoramic views and calm waters, it’s one of the safest and most scenic paddles in the Bay Area.

📍 Meet: Foster City Boat Launch
⏰ Time:

• 11:45 AM – Arrive/set up gear (need extra time? Come early!)
• 12:15 PM – On-water intros + safety briefing → Leisurely paddle (~2.5 mph)
• ~1:00 PM – Lunch at Edgewater Place Center (1.5 miles)
• 1:40 PM – Return → Back by ~2:15 PM

🍱 Lunch Options:

• Order takeout from plaza restaurants or pack your own.
• Note: Edgewater has a high dock only (no ramp). Assistance provided, but boarding is at your own risk.

What to bring:

• Your boat (Kayak/SUP, inflatable OK)
• Must wear a properly fitted PFD at all times.
• A whistle to call for help in distress. (Some PFD models have whistles attached). You may buy a storm whistle from Amazon for about $7.

Please update your attendance at least 24 hours before event date.
This is considered a beginner friendly easy trip, with round trip a little over 3 miles.
