Join us for an adventurous and scenic day at beautiful Pinnacles National Park as we explore the famous Balconies Cave Loop Trail — one of the park’s most unique and exciting hikes 🥾
✨ This unforgettable route features dramatic volcanic rock formations, cave passages, towering cliffs, canyon scenery, and incredible views throughout the hike 🌄
After the hike, we’ll relax together with a fun casual tailgate gathering back at the campground store parking area 🌮🥤☀️

🪨 Trail Information
This sunny and scenic hike begins on the Old Pinnacles Trail and leads toward the famous Balconies Cave area. Inside the cave section, hikers will navigate through fascinating talus passages created by giant fallen boulders 🪨✨
⚠️ Rock scrambling is required in portions of the cave.
After exiting the cave area, we’ll continue toward the Balconies Cliffs region with beautiful views of the surrounding rock formations before returning.
⚠️ Important Notes
🔦 HEADLIGHTS ARE REQUIRED IN THE CAVE (Phone lights and flashlights are not recommended.)
⚠️ Some trail sections include: • rocky terrain • uneven footing • sandy areas • narrow cave passages • scrambling over rocks • exposed sunny sections
👉 This hike may not be ideal for anyone uncomfortable with uneven terrain or moderate scrambling.

Pinnacles National Park strictly prohibits pets on all hiking trails, in caves, and in the backcountry to protect wildlife and fragile ecosystems. Dogs are permitted only on leashes in the campground (east side), parking lots, and along paved roads.
