Monday Night Poetry Lounge

Come VIRTUALLY join us for a night of creativity and community, and delve into the meaning of poetry! Expect a judgement-free, supportive space to write, create, share, and mingle with other Bay Area poets.

Consider bringing your muse, ideas, and voice. Be heard, be seen, and have a mixed drink (that you made at home).

A prompt is offered for your muse to mull, and deep discussions connecting the day's thoughts.

Our schedule for the evening will be roughly:

6:00-6:15pm: Check-in and greetings.
6:15-6:45pm: Writing prompt and writing time.
6:45-7:30pm: Each poet shares one poem of their choice with the group and receives short, generalized feedback. This can be from the prompt, but does not have to be.
7:30-8:00pm: (Optional Google Doc share, Screen Share or read the poem aloud) Poets submit their piece based on the prompt to the group for positive feedback from group members. We'll focus on what lines stood out and what we liked. It's not mandatory to comment.
