​​In this event we'll learn about data-driven projects from 2 Gilead scientists:

• ​Bryan Downie, Director of Clinical Bioinformatics and Exploratory Analytics whose team supports drug development through the analysis of biomarkers and other exploratory clinical endpoints across functions including Clinical Development, Biomarkers, Discovery, Medical Affairs, and others
• ​Xiaoyong Fu, a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist who focuses on oncology target discovery based on preclinical multi-omics and clinical real-world data (RWD)

​​Data Driven Pharma is an SF Bay Area based community for people in drug development who are interested in how data is being used in our industry. Our focus is on sharing stories from the field where data driven projects and/or infrastructure have led to impact in the companies where these stories come from. Given our business-oriented beginning, we are also particularly interested in exploring the ROI of these projects.

Who is this event for? Anyone interested in data management systems and their use cases in drug development. People with a focus on Machine Learning, Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, IT, and other computational fields tend to attend our events. Outside of this, anyone interested and curious is also welcome.
