Abstract:
This presentation will cover tools and methods for operating geo-distributed heterogeneous cluster infrastructure, primarily for research and development. We will discuss automated deployment on dynamically provisioned bare metal servers, integration with composible GPU resources for machine learning workloads, and how zero-trust networks help facilitare R&D workflows.

Speaker Bio:
Ryan Hill is a Solutions Architect at Cloudera, focused on high performance computing and computational science. He is a polyglot software engineer with experience in energy, biotechnology, financial services, and geospatial analytics. He lives in Colorado where he enjoys hiking, snowboarding, fly fishing, and photography.
