Mom and Pop Shop Collectibles puts The Bayonne Chess Society & Club in a corner.

Come join us at Mom and Pop Shop Collectibles from 5pm to 10 pm. Meet new people. Make new friends. Test you wit and strategies in whatever games people decide to play. Of course, chess might be one of those, but it's a true gamers haven. Browse the store as it has tons of collectibles. Even has some retro old school candies. Have a go at the Bazooka soda. Yup, tastes like Bazooka.

Bring a game. Maybe it's something members haven't played. We play everything from Skip Bo to Scrabble. Mah Jongg to Monopoly. Jigsaw puzzles..yeah...starting some of those. Who knows what games are on the schedule.

One thing for sure...it's always fun. So, don't be shy. Join us.

If you want to play some chess beforehand, we're also across the street at OJ Macs bar from 1pm to 5pm. Players finish there and go across the street to Mom and Pop, if they want to continue. They pretty much always want more. :-)

We're currently approaching 500+ active participating members strong. We don't just meet for chess, but we also have boardgame and card game nights. All ages and all skill levels. You bring the game during a 'Combo Event'. someone will likely play you. Members will play anything from Skip Bo to Monopoly. From Jenga to Uno. We've even played Mah Jongg for a while. Scrabble is pretty popular. A lot of funny and weird card games too.
