Let's Meet Up to Discuss Writerly Things, and to Share Work!

HEY BAYOU WRITERS,

Who is ready to get together and "talk shop?" Me too!!!

My writing is still going a bit slower than I would like, but I have some big writing goals this year! Anyone else? No matter where you are in your writing adventure, there is still plenty of time to make a plan and get to writing more words!!!

If you haven't gotten off to a strong start yet, it's not too late to get your writing plan together! I have to readjust my goals monthly and quarterly. You can do it!

We will discuss craft with a focus on writing tropes and how you can use them in your writing and/or with selling more books. I have a great craft (writing) book recommendation with tips and tricks that I personally use with my own books. This will be a discussion-based dinner talk where you can share your ideas too. Whoop whoop!!! I can't wait!!!

In addition to the discussion, we'll also have time for Readings:

LET'S SHARE OUR WORK
We are a writing group... so please bring in anything you are working on and want to share! New members are especially encouraged to bring something to read. It can be flash fiction, a short story, journal writing, or a couple of pages from your larger manuscript. If you write it, we want to hear it. The only request is to keep it under 1,000 words.

GREAT PLACE TO EAT
We have found a wonderful new home at Sake Garden in Mandeville. They have a small private room, excellent service, and wonderful food. They are not charging us for the space, but if you can, please plan to eat dinner and dessert or order drinks to help them for helping us.
