What we’re about
Bay Sailors is a not-for-profit member run organization. We have been a large, strong, vital organization, sailing in the Bay area since 1993, and we focus on friendship, safety, education, sailing and fun. We welcome anyone to our membership who is interested in sailing, is single (i.e. unmarried), over 21 years of age, and who is physically able to maneuver in tight quarters. Although helpful, no prior sailing experience is required. We will help you to learn, although we are not certified instructors. We’re active, casual and friendly.
Your membership includes unlimited sailing, subject to assignment availability, and frequent social events. We meet the first Wednesday of each month at Mugs Sports Bar & Grill at 13563 Icot Blvd in Clearwater. We are one of the Tampa Bay area’s greatest educational and sailing bargains. We sail on boats owned by Bay Sailor members. You do not need to own a boat, although if you do, so much the better.
