What we’re about
Hi, welcome to the Black and Brown Book Club. This is a place for BIPOC individuals in Edinburgh to socialise and read books by BIPOC women. We will be meeting monthly at various locations in Edinburgh. For the first few meet ups, we're hoping to meet at Leith Links.
July: The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
August: Honor by Thrity Umrigar
September: TBD
The group is free to join.
These events are only for BIPOC individuals. If you don't fall into this category, please let us know. If there's enough interest, we'll set up a separate group for everyone who wants to expand their reading list.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Hi, please join us for our book club meet-up! We will be reading Honor by Thrity Umrigar. We're hoping that the weather will be lovely, so we can have a picnic in Leith Links.
Although we encourage people to support their local libraries and independent bookshops, we understand not everyone is able to access these. Therefore, click here for a PDF version of the book.

Things you might want to think about as you're reading:
- What were your favourite and least favourite moments in the book?
- Which actors would you cast in a film adaptation?
- If you could kill off one character, who would it be?
- If you could ask the author one question, what would it be?This event is only for BIPOC individuals. If you don't fall into this category, please let us know. If there's enough interest, we'll set up a separate group for everyone who wants to expand their reading list.
