What we’re about
BBC RADIO 4 LISTENERS GROUP LONDON
Hello!
Are you finding it easier to talk, communicate with the listeners of BBC Radio 4 or similar podcasts?
Are you curious to meet other people who are also talking back to the radio—or nodding thoughtfully, chuckling quietly, or raising an eyebrow at a particularly bold claim, even disagree (politely) with the content, presentation, claims, predictions, and especially with the facts!
Perhaps this is the group for you to join or even take part in the formation and the development.
Whether you're keen to get involved or just quietly curious, you're very welcome to join us as we get started.
All events are free—and we plan to keep it that way.
Let’s see where this leads.
Join us for a relaxed space to chat about any topics that Radio 4 brings to life (almost everything?) and take part in activities and perhaps we will go beyond.
Meetings might include:
Art Galleries and Museum visits
Park walks and talks
Architectural walks
All social sciences to evaluate
Informal group discussions
Free concerts and talks
Socialising
JOIN THE CONVERSATION
If Radio 4 sparks your curiosity, makes you laugh, or gets you thinking — come along and meet others who feel the same. Bring your ideas, insights, and a love of good conversation.

See all- TATE MODERN VISIT (REVISIT)Tate Modern , London
Hello,
Do you think you've been to Tate Modern and seen it all?
You might want to think again.Did you know that approximately 20% of the artworks are refreshed every 6 to 12 months—and that we tend to forget about 50% of what we saw before?
It might be the perfect time to visit Tate Modern again—or even for the first time!
We'll meet inside the glass corner of the Tate Modern Corner Café, located at the west corner of the riverfront façade.
Nearest Public Transport:
- Blackfriars Crossrail Station (South Exit) – If you're arriving by Underground, cross the river via the rail station, and turn right after the ticket barriers.
- Southwark Station (Jubilee Line) – Cross the road diagonally and walk along Union Street. After going under the railway bridge, turn left onto Great Suffolk Street. Tate Modern will be straight ahead.
Date & Time:
- 12 June 2025 at 2:30 PM (come earlier if you’d like a drink or something before)
- Or 14 June at 2:30 PM — but please RSVP via the other announcement.
What we’ll see:
- Louise Bourgeois’s 10-metre-high stainless-steel spider, re-installed in the Turbine Hall to mark the 25th anniversary of the gallery’s opening—exactly where it stood 25 years ago.
- Alberto Giacometti’s collection of renowned sculptures—now impressively curated and lit after years of absence.
- Mark Rothko’s Seagram Murals, recently returned to Tate Modern after their stay in Paris (at the Fondation Louis Vuitton for the Rothko Retrospective) and Tate St Ives—now rested and back in their full glory.
- Joan Mitchell’s Iva—the gallery’s biggest donation since 1969.
- And perhaps a few more key artworks.
Experience the real thing—words can’t describe it, and photography can't capture the scale, texture, or true colours. Even if the art stays the same, we don't—we change. So the experience is never the same.
………
We’ll finish with a social drink nearby—hopefully somewhere quiet and comfortable, for those who’d like to join.Contact Oktay #
